It’s a while since we’ve posted largely because AquaVilla has been booked up and busy – good thing. Not everyone takes the time to write reviews or give feedback, but so far all reviews across all websites have been five stars or equivalent. We picked up yet another one today. I want to thank these reviewers – knowing we are doing a good job and achieving the goals we set for the villa just motivates us further. We’ve invested in AquaVilla to improve it a lot since ownership and we will continue to do so.
This is important to us for a number of reasons, but most important we want people to have a great vacation. We’ve spent money on vacations before and all too often been disappointed with the place that we stay. We tried to fix this, spending more for supposedly better hotels and brands, so called ‘5 star’ themselves and this didn’t work. Checking into a hotel is just too ‘hit and miss’ and we began to fear it, seriously.
In the end, we fixed it by buying our own place and making it nice. We now know that in AquaVilla we have a great place to stay for our own vacations with no risk of disappointment. This however comes with the responsibility that a ‘vacation rental’ is rented out to others, potentially you, our guests. We don’t take this responsibility lightly at all, in fact our thoughts about our own experiences stretch to how we feel about those staying as guests. If we are to have some responsibility over your vacation, we want you to have the experience we were looking for. When you walk through the door at AquaVilla, we do want you to say ‘wow’.
More details to come and we can’t say too much at this stage but it is not so far off now where some of our story becomes a little more public. We hope that as the story is told, some of our desires for how we wanted to share AquaVilla with others, including their ‘wow factor’ does indeed come across. If so, you’ll understand why these reviews are important to us.
Finally, I do need to thank the others that play a role in this great feedback. To everyone involved, from those who help us with the guests, vehicle rental/dive operator partners, office and resort management and especially (very much) those looking after the beautiful gardens and pool…thank you and please read the feedback because much of it is based on your hard work. Everything you are all doing is summing to the great vacations that we hear the guests are having. Result.
