Bonaire Dive Guide – Operations
There are lots of good dive shops on Bonaire that provide excellent services for gear rental. Many also operate boat diving operations for easier access to some shore sites as well as Klein Bonaire.
Please bear in mind that to use the marine park in Bonaire, you have to undergo a dive orientation prior. This is organized by the dive shop. It’s essential to plan ahead for this because some of the dive operations facilitate marine orientation only at fixed times of the day. If you are arriving later in the day and planning to dive as soon as you’ve got off the aircraft, please check the times of marine orientation sessions with your chosen dive operator.

The closest dive operation to AquaVilla at 1/4 of a mile. We like this operation due to their flexibility of scheduling for marine orientation and their many locations, which can offer tank pick up/exchange near or even on the sites you are diving. They have dive lockers, rinse tanks and many, many services. Dive Friends Bonaire is easy and we’ve found the staff very helpful. | While they have flexible scheduling for their marine orientation, plan ahead as to which site you’ll take that at. Their ‘Dive Inn’ location is the closest one to AquaVilla that undertakes orientation. After orientation you can collect tanks from any location. As with any operator…best to secure your place on boat dives in advance.
